Gambling Age in Thailand

There is no legal gambling age in Thailand because most forms of gambling are strictly prohibited. Thailand enforces a near-total ban on gambling activities, with limited exceptions for state-run lotteries and horse racing.

Gambling is Illegal in Thailand

In Thailand, gambling is largely banned under the Gambling Act of 1935. This prohibition includes casinos, sports betting, online gambling, and other forms of wagering. The only legal gambling activities are the Thai Government Lottery and pari-mutuel betting on horse racing at designated tracks. Participants in these activities must be at least 20 years old.

Illegal gambling operations, including underground casinos and betting, exist but carry significant legal risks. Violators face harsh penalties, including fines and imprisonment. Visitors and residents are strongly advised to respect Thai gambling laws to avoid severe consequences.
